Spring Fundraiser @ Camas High School
Our spring sale was held during lunch at Camas High School, where we got to sell a bunch of handmade crochet items from our club. This was such a big team effort from our crochet club members, and I’m so proud of everything we were able to put together. We had jellyfish, octopi keychains, duck keychains, flower bouquets, cherry blossom keychains, fruit coasters, flower coasters, cat keychains, and so much more. There is so much time that goes into making every single item, so it was really rewarding to finally see everything come together at our booth.
One of my favorite parts was just seeing people come up to talk to us and look through everything we had made. It makes me really happy whenever someone looks at something and says, "This is so cute!" I loved watching people decide which keychain they wanted to put on their bag or even on their jeans to be performative. We even had a couple guys come up and get matching performative keychains, which was pretty funny.
Setting up the booth was a team effort too, so a huge thank you to the friends who helped me make our sign and to everyone who helped run the booth during lunch. You guys are the absolute best, and I really couldn't have done it without you. We ended up raising over $500 thanks to everyone's help and support! Half of the proceeds went to Clark County Veterans, while the other half went directly back to our club so we could buy more materials for our members and future projects.
I’m so grateful for everyone in the Camas High School community who stopped by, supported us, and appreciated all the dedication and effort that goes into making these pieces. I really love being able to do something I enjoy and use it as a way to make a difference and connect with other people. Thank you so much for supporting our club, and definitely look out for our future fundraisers!
